The Cardinals stadium and famous Westgate outlet shopping mall and entertainment district filled with great restaurants is only 6 miles away, and provides free live outdoor music most Friday and Saturday nights. Sky Harbor Airport is a quick 25 minute drive, Downtown Phoenix is 30 minutes, and Scottsdale and its many treasures is an easy 45 minute drive. The many highlights of Sedona, Flagstaff, Prescott, Jerome, Tucson, and more are easy day trips, each within a 2 hour drive or so. There are a number of birds in the area because of the lakes including songbirds, hummingbirds, mockingbirds, Canada geese, ducks, herons, doves, and more.
